1970's Audemars Piguet Lapis Dial with Papers
1970's Audemars Piguet Lapis Dial with Papers
The Watch: This slim and elegant Audemars Piguet 4081 couldn’t be further from the brutalist industrial exterior of the Royal Oak line that the brand is best known for today.
Featuring a 33mm 18k yellow gold case and matching woven 18k integrated bracelet, this dress watch dates to the 1970s and serves as a window into the mindset of a pre-Royal Oak Audemars Piguet, who once excelled at making ultra-thin, ultra-svelte dress watches. The centerpiece of this watch however, beyond the very prevalent presence of gold, is the gorgeous and minimalistic Lapis stone dial.
In original and unpolished condition throughout, this is as much a historical horological treasure as it is an infinitely interesting timepiece with its stunning stone dial. Comes with original AP warranty and manual. Fits up to a 7” wrist.
Condition: Used, unpolished condition. The bracelet has a very slight curve where it meets the bottom of the case, unnoticeable while wearing, only when placing the watch on a flat surface.
Includes: Watch and original papers.
