The Watch: This is an IWC Porsche Design Automatic from the 1990s, reference IW3520. The collaboration between IWC and Porsche Design produced some of the most forward-thinking timepieces of the era, with Ferdinand Porsche's son F.A. Porsche designing the distinctive circular case architecture that would become iconic.
The 38mm titanium case represents the material innovation of the period. Titanium was still relatively new in watchmaking during the 1990s, and IWC was among the pioneers in working with this lightweight, durable metal. The matte silver dial features clean, legible indices and a red seconds hand that provides visual interest without overwhelming the design.
The automatic movement keeps excellent time, and the date complication at 3 o'clock adds practical functionality. This watch captures the optimistic, technology-forward spirit of 1990s design while maintaining the Swiss precision IWC is known for.
Condition: Very good condition overall with no significant marks. The titanium case shows minor wear consistent with age but retains its distinctive brushed finish. The matte silver dial has developed a subtle, even patina that adds character. The perforated leather strap shows normal use but remains supple and comfortable.
Includes: Watch only.
