The Watch: Released in the late 1990s, the Ref. 72050/423A represents the earliest evolution of Vacheron Constantin’s Overseas line in quartz form. While the 42050 housed an automatic movement, this quartz variant retains the same integrated design, robust build quality, and iconic styling delivered in a slightly slimmer 35mm case.
The deep blue dial features lumed hour markers, a date at 3 o’clock, and clean, elegant lines that highlight Vacheron's restrained aesthetic. The case construction is sharp and architectural, with a notched bezel and integrated stainless steel bracelet tapering neatly around the wrist.
Powering the watch is the Vacheron Constantin Caliber 1320, a high-precision and highly-finished quartz movement known for its reliability and accuracy.
This example has a particularly interesting and unique "ring of flames" patina around the dial logo.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with light signs of wear. Bracelet fits approximately a 7-inch wrist.
