The Watch: The Omega Renaissance 1894 Limited Edition is a celebration of the brand’s 100-year milestone, issued in 1994 as a tribute to the company’s early history and the legendary 30mm movement series that made Omega a chronometric powerhouse in the mid-20th century.
This piece is one of just 1,894 examples produced in 18k rose gold. Its vintage inspiration is clear: the case design, roman numeral dial, leaf hands, and crosshair seconds register all evoke Omega’s pre-war aesthetic, while the slim, curved lugs and narrow bezel enhance the classical proportions. At 36mm by 10mm, the watch wears elegantly on the wrist and offers a nostalgic fit and feel without the usual fragility of true vintage.
Inside is the Omega Caliber 269, a new-old-stock 30mm manual wind movement from the 1960s, finished with gilded bridges, black polished screws, and fine bevels. The tactile experience of winding this movement is a genuine pleasure—crisp, mechanical, and deeply satisfying.
The dial has a midcentury sector design with applied rose gold roman numeral and cabochon indices.. A subtly sunken sub-seconds dial and applied Omega logo complete the refined vintage aesthetic. A dramatically domed sapphire crystal recalls the old-school look of acrylic but with the durability of modern materials.
Condition: Excellent pre-owned condition with minor signs of wear. Light surface marks consistent with age. Running well and keeping good time.
