The Watch: The Neptune 5080 represents a short-lived but uniquely styled chapter in Patek Philippe’s history. Produced in the late 1990s, this stainless steel reference blends the formality of Patek’s Calatrava lineage with the sportier, integrated-bracelet ethos found in contemporaries like the Nautilus.
The 36mm case features a sculpted, stepped lug design and a mix of polished and brushed surfaces. Water-resistant to 25 meters, it’s paired with an integrated bracelet that tapers fluidly to the clasp, giving the watch a sleek, unified presence on the wrist.
This particular example stands out for its dial: a salmon-tone sunburst that radiates cleanly across the entire surface, a stately minutes railroad track, applied Roman numerals at 6, 9, and 12 and the Patek Philippe signature at 12 o’clock.
Inside beats the automatic Caliber 315 SC, a Geneva Seal-certified movement with central seconds, a date at 3 o’clock, and a 21k gold rotor, known for both reliability and elegant finishing.
This example is offered watch-only and fits up to a 7.25" wrist. A compelling and rarely seen alternative to more conventional Patek sports models.
Condition: Light wear consistent with age; dial, case, and bracelet all in excellent shape
Includes: Watch only
This is a refined, unusually warm take on 1990s-era Patek sports elegance, and the salmon dial is especially rare. With rising interest in the Neptune line and a unique design that sits apart from the Nautilus and Aquanaut, the 5080 is a thoughtful addition to any serious collection.
