The Watch: The Datomax stands as a refined bridge between independent watchmaking’s early days and the modern era of haute horology. Produced shortly after Daniel Roth’s acquisition by Bulgari in 2000, this reference retains the distinctive styling that made the brand iconic: the stepped “ellipsocurvex” case, finely textured guilloché dial, and heat-blued steel hands—yet introduces Roman numerals and a bold big date display at 12, signaling a new chapter.

The 18k white gold case measures 35mm x 38mm, compact yet substantial thanks to its curved architecture and detailed construction. The silver dial combines vertical pinstripes, engraved chapter rings, and a wave-textured seconds subdial at 6 o'clock. The oversized Roman numerals offer strong contrast, while the signature blued steel hands preserve the Roth DNA.

Powering the watch is an automatic movement with big date complication, viewable through the sapphire caseback. This example is in excellent condition, with only light wear to the case and strap. It comes as a full set, including the original Daniel Roth box, papers, and accessories.

Condition: Excellent condition. Light signs of wear on case and strap. Some debris on the back crystal (see photos). Running well with all functions working.

Includes: Full set – Daniel Roth outer box and wooden watch winder (inner box), original papers, original white gold buckle, original strap, and accessories.
