The Watch: The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Time for the Trees,” reference 15100ST, was produced for the Audemars Piguet Foundation, which has funded forest conservation and youth environmental programs since 1992. This is the second of two Foundation series, produced in 1999 and limited to 450 pieces.
The 36mm stainless steel case and bracelet follow the mid-size 14790, at roughly 7.8mm thick. The blue tapisserie dial carries an engraved oak tree motif with the Audemars Piguet Fondation signature at 6 o’clock. Applied luminous steel indexes and baton hands sit inside a white outer minute track with Arabic five-minute numerals. Date window at 3.
Movement is the self-winding Calibre 2225 on 36 jewels, with center seconds and quick-set date. Based on the JLC 889, it's a rarity to find a Royal Oak both with this movement and an exhibition caseback. The rotor has been extensively customized for this edition.
Condition: Good, unpolished, with the case retaining its original finishing and edges. The dial and crystal are clean.
