The Watch: A rare reference from Lange’s early 2000s catalog, the 115.029 is one of the few Grand Lange 1s to feature a luminous dial—a black backdrop with fully lumed numerals, indices, and hands. Unlike most Lange dials, this one doesn’t need a loupe and a well-lit room.
The 41.9mm white gold case houses the L901.2 caliber, a hand-wound movement with a 72-hour power reserve, twin barrels, and Lange’s signature outsize date. Movement architecture is textbook Glashütte: three-quarter plate in untreated German silver, hand-engraved balance cock, and polished gold chatons held with blued screws.
The dial layout is pure Lange—off-center hours and minutes, power reserve at 3, small seconds at 5. But the lume transforms it. It’s still sober, still exacting, but not afraid of the dark.
Offered with box and papers.
