The Watch: This feels rare. Every now and then a Franck Muller Crazy Hours hits the market and I like to think I'm aware of most of them. I would guess that over 90% are precious metal. I think in 3 years this is the second I've seen in steel, and the first I've seen with box and papers.
Franck Muller papers are another oddity. If you have bought more than one second-hand Muller, or maybe just kept a very close eye on listings, you might notice that the vast majority of FM papers are "open" or blank. I don't know why that is. I don't know if there's some vast Muller-papers counterfeiting operation that's pumping them out or if FMs just never sell through an AD and so the papers are never stamped and dated. Well, these papers are stamped and dated.
So, on a couple of axes, I think this thing is a rarity. With all that said, Crazy Hours is the greatest modern complication made, bringing the absurdity of what a luxury watch is directly onto the dial. This one comes in a steel 8880 case, a brash 55.4mm x 39.6mm tempered by the quiet pale green of the dial.
Condition: The case and bracelet are worn from 20 years of use, but there are no extreme dents or nicks, just light marks.
