The Watch: Patek Philippe introduced the Calatrava-line in 1932. A small round elegant watch with a fine mechanical movement. It has become a category-defining watch, and this is one of Patek's most perfectly simple and perfectly designed models.
The 37mm case has no sharp edges or hard lines in terms of design, the lugs have only a slight bend towards the strap, and the off-white dial is perfectly clean, and all of the dial furniture is applied and hand-finished.
The movement is the Patek cal. 324, which replaced the 315 in post-2009 models of the 5127, after Patek stopped Geneva sealing their movements and transitioned to the in-house Patek Seal.
