The Watch: A classic from Le Brassus in its 2010s iteration: the Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 26470ST.OO.A101CR.01, aka The Vampire. The Royal Oak Offshore is an enfant terrible. Designed by Emanuel Gueit and released in the 1990's to the chagrin of Royal Oak designer Gerald Genta, the line asks: "What if we put a watch movement in a steel vault instead of jewelry?" The line faltered on the market until it was embraced by Italian skiier Alberto Tomba, and took off amongst the Italian youth and then globally. This reference was the chronograph version of the line from 2014 to 2021. Powered by the Audemars Piguet base caliber 3126 with a 3840 vertical clutch chronograph module in a 42mm case, and visible through the display caseback, it's a beautiful example of industrially-inspired, handmade art from AP.
