The Watch: Recently purchased from its original owner, this is a 2018 Vacheron Constantin FiftySix 4600E/000A-B487. Launched in 2018 and inspired by the 6073, this is a 40mm automatic in stainless steel. With a simple, readable dial, thin profile, black leather strap, and design based on a mid-century model but thoroughly modern, it feels like VC’s answer to the datejust: an “entry-level” daily driver that can easily be worn formally.
Some fun design notes: the vintage open-6/open-9 font across the watch (especially in the date window).
