The Watch: The Chopard Alpine Eagle is the brand’s bold entry into the integrated steel sports watch category, drawing inspiration from the 1980s St. Moritz model and reimagining it for a modern audience. The 41mm case features a combination of brushed and polished surfaces, with a distinctive bezel secured by eight screws arranged in pairs, a nod to the St. Moritz's design language.
The real standout, though, is the dial: a deep blue with a swirling texture meant to evoke the iris of an eagle. Applied Roman numerals and baton indices give it a refined, architectural look, and the baton hands are filled with Super-LumiNova for legibility. A date aperture sits cleanly at 4:30.
Powering the Alpine Eagle is the COSC-certified Chopard 01.01-C automatic movement, visible through the sapphire caseback. It offers a 60-hour power reserve and beats at 28,800 vph. Water-resistant to 100 meters and constructed from Chopard’s proprietary Lucent Steel A223—a hypoallergenic, high-resistance alloy with a brilliant finish—the Alpine Eagle is a seriously well-executed modern sports watch with true in-house credibility.
