With its 42mm case size, the 216570 introduced a bolder profile compared to its predecessor while retaining the Explorer II’s core functionality: a fixed 24-hour bezel, independent GMT hand, and robust Oystersteel construction.
This example features the glossy white dial with applied Chromalight markers and the iconic oversized orange 24-hour hand, a nod to the original 1971 Explorer II “Freccione.” Powered by the Rolex Caliber 3187, it offers COSC-certified precision, Paraflex shock absorbers, and a 48-hour power reserve.
