The Watch: Created to commemorate 20 years of Spring Drive innovation, the Grand Seiko SBGY003 is a limited edition of 700 pieces that blends the unique mechanics of Spring Drive with Grand Seiko’s signature design language.
The 38.5mm stainless steel case is slim and elegant, just 10.2mm thick, and polished with Grand Seiko’s signature Zaratsu technique for distortion-free surfaces. The dial features a delicate sunray texture with applied indices and razor-sharp hands, all anchored by a sweeping blue seconds hand—a hallmark of Spring Drive’s continuous motion.
Powering the watch is the Spring Drive Caliber 9R31, a manual-wind movement with dual mainsprings offering a 72-hour power reserve. The movement is visible through the sapphire caseback, complete with a beautifully frosted finish and the 20th Anniversary medallion.
