The Watch: Parmigiani Fleurier has operated in a privileged position in the watch industry for most of its existence. The brand owns its own case maker (Les Artisans Boîtiers), dial maker (Cadrans Fleurier), and movement maker (Vaucher Manufacture), a level of vertical integration that rivals the biggest names in Swiss watchmaking, and craftsmanship of the highest level. Despite that, they have been somewhat overlooked for flashier brands. The Tonda PF line, introduced in 2021, moved PF a few steps into the mainstream.
The Tonda PF 36 is the smaller-cased version of that collection. The Silver Sand dial has a textured, granular finish that shifts in different light. The movement is Parmigiani's caliber PF770 automatic, engineered specifically for this reference.
