The Watch: An Audemars Piguet Code 11.59 Selfwinding Chronograph, reference 26393ST.OO.A348KB.01, in stainless steel, dated 2023.
The case is a sandwich construction, two round bezels around an octagonal midcase, with alternating satin and high polish where the surfaces meet. The lugs are evacuated and attach to the octagon in the manner of a flying buttress. The dial is Audemars Piguet's Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50, stamped with a deep three-dimensional concentric pattern and read beneath a double-curved crystal. The counters are blue with a grey register at 6, the external zone and inner bezel are grey, and the hour markers and hands are white gold with luminescent coating.
The movement is the cal. 4401, drawn from the 4400 family, an integrated flyback chronograph with a column wheel and vertical clutch, 367 components, 40 jewels, 28,800 vph, with 70 hours of reserve. It is visible through the sapphire caseback.
