The Watch: Ressence emerged from the mind of Benoit Mintiens, a Belgian industrial designer who looked at traditional watchmaking and asked why hands needed to be attached to a central axis. The answer he arrived at was ROCS (Ressence Orbital Convex System), a display method where the entire dial surface rotates on multiple axes to indicate time. The result looks like a scientific instrument from a future that never quite happened.
The Type 8, introduced in 2022, is Ressence reduced to its most essential form. Where other models in the lineup pile on complications, the Type 8 displays only hours and minutes across two orbiting subdials. That's it. The 40.5mm titanium case houses this minimalist regulator beneath a domed sapphire crystal.
