The Watch: The Datejust has been the bedrock of the Rolex catalog since 1945, when it became the first wristwatch with an automatically changing date display. Generations of variants have come and gone, but the design template stays remarkably stable: round case, fluted or smooth bezel, dial, date at 3 o'clock under a cyclops lens. The 126300 is the current 41mm Datejust in stainless steel.
The "Wimbledon" dial is the unofficial name for the slate dial with green Roman numerals, which appeared in 2009 and quickly became one of the more sought-after Datejust configurations. The tennis tournament reference comes from the Wimbledon Championship's traditional purple and dark green color scheme, and Rolex has been the Wimbledon timekeeper since 1978. The green Roman numerals against the slate ground are distinctive without being loud. This particular configuration pairs the Wimbledon dial with a smooth bezel and oyster bracelet, the sportiest setup.
The caliber 3235 inside delivers a 70-hour power reserve, the Chronergy escapement, and COSC chronometer certification. Water resistance is 100 meters.
