The Watch: The Chopard L.U.C Regulator, reference 161971-5001, arrived in 2015 as a reworking of the regulator display in 18k rose gold. Six indications are separated across the silver sunray dial. Minutes run from the center, hours occupy the subdial at 3 o'clock, small seconds sit at 6, and a 24-hour second time zone registers at 9 with a recessed corrector at 4 o'clock. The power reserve indicator sits at 12, with a small date aperture between 4 and 5.
The hand-wound Calibre L.U.C 98.02-L drives all of it from four stacked mainspring barrels, Chopard's Quattro system, in a movement 4.9mm thick. Full wind yields 216 hours of running. The caliber holds both COSC chronometer certification and the Poinçon de Genève, visible through the sapphire display caseback. The 43mm rose gold case measures 9.78mm thick and is rated to 30 meters. Fitted to a brown alligator strap with a rose gold pin buckle.
