H. Moser & Cie
The Watch: Launched in 2022, The H. Moser & Cie Heritage Dual Time captures the more traditional side of Moser while still maintaining the boldness that sets the apart from other Swiss makers.
The 42mm case and dial layout are inspired by 20's and 30's field and pilot watches, featuring simple, readable Arabic numerals (in this case, in thick Chromalite blocks), and loop lugs that emulate the welded wire lugs of military field watches. The case flanks are coined with high-density ridges that conjure the grilles on their Pioneer line.
Moser is a more playful brand than most Swiss watchmakers, working with blank dials, neon colors, stone dials, and even Swiss cheese. In this more restrained reference, we get a burgundy fumé dial, running from deep red-purple in the center to almost black at the edges, and the H. Moser & Cie wordmark in clear laquer beneath 12. Both choices a bit more modern than the watch's inspiration.
Then there's the complication: a dual time hour hand in ghostly grey that tucks away behind the main hour hand when not in use. Simple, restrained, but nothing like you'd find on a traditional military watch.
The Dual Time Heritage uses Moser's HMC 809 movement, which is finely decorated with Moser's traditional dual stripes, and has a robust look to complement the sporty/everyday nature of this watch.
