The Watch: The Overseas Chronograph is the complication step-up from the time-only 4500V, and the 5520V generation (debuting in 2024) replaced the 5500V that had been in production since 2016.
The 5520V/210A-B148 is the blue dial variant in stainless steel. The caliber 5200 is an in-house column-wheel chronograph with 263 components, 54 jewels, and the Hallmark of Geneva certification, which governs both movement finishing and timekeeping performance. It runs at 28,800 vph with a 52-hour power reserve. The dial layout places a 30-minute chronograph counter and 12-hour counter alongside a small seconds register, with a date aperture between 4 and 5 o'clock. The translucent lacquered blue dial shifts tone depending on the light. The oscillating weight in 22k gold features decoration inspired by the wind rose, visible through the sapphire caseback.
The 42.5mm case retains the Maltese cross bezel motif and the interchangeable strap system that has become a defining feature of the Overseas line. Steel bracelet, leather strap, and rubber strap are all swappable without tools.
This 2025 example is in very good condition. Full set minus the warranty card (lost by original owner), though the warranty has been registered with Vacheron Constantin and the watch is currently covered. Photo of card including QR code can be provided.
