The Watch: The Code 11.59 had one of the more "interesting" launches in recent AP history. When it debuted in 2019, the initial reaction focused on the case shape and the lacquered dials, and the consensus was unkind. AP kept going. They added complications, refined the finishing, and expanded the dial options. The line has aged into something considerably more interesting than the launch suggested, particularly as collectors have spent time with the case architecture in person rather than judging it from press photos.
Reference 26293ST is the chronograph in stainless steel. The case construction is more involved than it looks: an octagonal middle case sandwiched between round bezels, with lugs that create a visual bridge between the two geometries. The movement is AP's caliber 4401 (based on the 4400 family), an integrated flyback chronograph with column wheel and 70-hour power reserve. The "integrated" distinction matters because the chronograph mechanism was designed as part of the movement from the start, not added as a module on top of a time-only base.
This example is like new with its extended warranty from AP yet to be activated.
