The Watch: Named for the Swiss town of Villeret, the birthplace of Blancpain back in 1735(!!), this collection is BP's most formal and dressy, and where their complications are most at-home.

This is a Blancpain Villeret Quantième Complet, reference 6654-1113-55B, a full calendar with moon phase in a 40mm stainless steel case measuring 10.9mm thick. The grey dial carries a sunburst finish for a bit more texture than your average white dial. Applied polished steel Roman numerals mark the hours, read by skeletonized leaf-shaped hands, with a central seconds hand sweeping across.

Day and month are in windows beneath 12 o’clock. The date runs on an inner track, indicated by Blancpain’s serpentine pointer hand, and the moon phase occupies the aperture at 6. All calendar indications are set through Blancpain’s patented under-lug correctors which work at the press of a fingertip.

The self-winding Calibre 6654 adds a calendar module to Blancpain’s base Calibre 1151 and is built from 321 components on 28 jewels, running at 4Hz for 72 hours of power reserve. It is wound by a honeycomb rotor in yellow gold, visible through the sapphire caseback. Rated to 3 bar, with 22mm between the lugs. On an alligator strap with folding clasp.

Condition: Very good condition with light marks, visible in the photos.

Includes: Blancpain box and manual. No warranty card.
