The Watch: The Superocean Heritage is Breitling's nod to its original 1957 Superocean, reinterpreted with modern materials and a dressier presence than the brand's more tool-oriented dive watches. Where the standard Superocean leans toward rugged utility, the Heritage adds a polished ceramic bezel and design cues that make it equally comfortable with a suit as with a wetsuit.
This is the 46mm green dial variant, reference AB2020. The green dial with luminous stick markers and a date at 6 o'clock sits under a cambered sapphire crystal that's glareproofed on both sides. The polished black ceramic bezel insert is unidirectional with a ratcheted action. At 46mm, this is the larger of the Heritage sizes, and the proportions work because the case stays relatively slim at just under 15mm thick.
The caliber B20 is Breitling's manufacture movement, based on the Tudor MT5612 platform. It's a COSC-certified chronometer with a 70-hour power reserve running at 28,800 vph with 26 jewels. The 70-hour reserve is a practical advantage over most dive watches in this segment, which typically top out around 48 hours.
