The Watch: The Cartier Tank MC reinterprets the classic Tank design with a larger case and an automatic movement. Introduced in 2013, the MC (“Manufacture Cartier”) adds a contemporary touch while maintaining the elegance of the original 1917 design.
This reference features a 44mm x 34.3mm stainless steel case with brushed sides and polished lugs. The white guilloché dial showcases Cartier’s signature Roman numerals, blued steel sword-shaped hands, and a date aperture at 3 o’clock. A small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock adds balance to the layout.
Powering the Tank MC is the Caliber 1904-PS MC, Cartier’s in-house automatic movement with a 48-hour power reserve, visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback.
Fitted on a black alligator strap with a stainless steel deployant clasp, the Tank MC offers 30m water resistance.
