The Watch: Christopher Ward does MB&F. The Loco is built around the CW-003, the second in-house caliber the brand has made and the first with a free-sprung balance. That balance floats on the dial side above 6 o'clock as the visual centerpiece of the watch.
The rest of the movement is a hand-wound with twin mainspring barrels, with bridges (two on the dial side, three on the back) that are faceted and polished with wide mirror-finished countersinks around the jewels. The dial is built on two levels, with a floating sapphire time disc up top framed by brushed metal wings in black, and a textured grené surface below.
The case is the Twelve's familiar architecture, with the twelve-sided bezel and integrated bracelet, here at 41mm in steel with a highly domed box sapphire giving a three-dimensional view down into the works. The bracelet removes without tools via the quick-release system.
This example comes as a full set in excellent condition, with an additional orange rubber strap.
