The Watch:The Chronoswiss Regulateur is one of the most successful interpretations of the regulator complication in modern watchmaking. Founded by Gerd-Rüdiger Lang in the 1980s, Chronoswiss built its reputation on this very watch, bringing the classical regulator display to the wrist in elegant dress watch form.
The regulator complication separates timekeeping functions, with hours displayed in a subdial at 12 o'clock and minutes shown via the large central hand. This layout mimics precision marine chronometers and workshop regulators used by watchmakers. The CH1223 features Chronoswiss's automatic Caliber C122 movement visible through the exhibition caseback.
At 38mm, this stainless steel case strikes the perfect balance for dress wear. The fluted bezel and mixed Roman and Arabic numerals on the white matte dial create visual interest while maintaining classical proportions. The regulator layout makes this instantly recognizable as a Chronoswiss piece.
Condition: Excellent condition with some light marks on the case flanks from normal wear. The dial remains clean and clear with crisp hands. Exhibition caseback shows the automatic movement in good condition. The strap is worn.
Includes: Original box and papers included with this watch.
