The Watch: Chronoswiss was founded in 1983 by Gerd-Rüdiger Lang during the resurgence of mechanical watchmaking. At a time when quartz dominated, Chronoswiss stood out by championing traditional craftsmanship, specializing in hand-wound and automatic timepieces, becoming known for their distinctive onion crowns, fluted bezels, and finely detailed guilloché dials.
The silver guilloché dial is adorned with Breguet-style blued hands and applied Roman numerals, exuding traditional elegance. The standout feature is the big date complication at 12 o’clock, paired with a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock, adding symmetry to the design.
Inside beats the automatic Chronoswiss C.351 caliber, based on an ETA 2892-A2 with a Dubois Dépraz big date module. Visible through the sapphire caseback, the movement is finely finished and offers a 42-hour power reserve.
Condition: Very light use. Some very light marks visible, see photos.
