The Watch:The Cartier Santos is a model with a rich history going back to 1904, and a number of generations. The iconic image of the watch: square, white, roman numeral dial on a riveted bracelet didn’t fully evolve until 1978 when Cartier launched the newly named “Santos de Cartier” and moved towards the integrated bracelet designs that were starting to show up. It was also one of the first stainless steel models from Cartier, better known for work in precious metals.
This is likely a later model (1990's) Santos ref 2961 “Carrée” (meaning square), in steel and 18k gold. Called the Carrée because of its especially boxy case and bracelet. Later models had a bit more curve to them.
Condition: Pre-owned but fantastic condition. I believe this case must have been expertly polished at some point. The bracelet will fit a wrist up to 7"
