2003 Cartier Tank Divan 2612 with box and papers
2003 Cartier Tank Divan 2612 with box and papers
The Watch: Cartier is known for classic, unimpeachable design, which is why I love to pick up some of their more polarizing offerings. The Tank Divan was launched in 2002, a rare new line from a Maison that regularly reaches into their past to relaunch vintage and Neo-vintage models. The Divan is the classic Tank turned on its side into a warped landscape mode. Its compact lug-to-lug measurement means it fits on nearly any wrist, while the broad case seems oddly powerful as it draws the eyes forward and back along the forearm. The thick leather strap feels almost like an integrated cuff, perfectly matched to its case. And while we love it, the line never quite hit with the public, and was quietly retired in 2007, making them somewhat uncommon in the wild today. This 2003 example is the large (38x30) size, automatic, steel version, ref 2612. It comes with its original box and papers, the original Cartier black leather strap and steel buckle.
Condition: Slightly worn, neo-vintage condition. The case has hairline scratches and some wrist wear on the caseback.
Includes: Watch, box, papers.
