The Watch: D. Dornblüth & Söhne is a small, family-run Saxon watchmaker producing hand-finished timepieces in the Glashütte tradition. Known for their meticulous craftsmanship and low production numbers, Dornblüth pieces have earned a cult following among enthusiasts who value artisanal watchmaking over mass production.
The 99.2 “Up/Down” pairs a traditional marine chronometer layout with the brand’s signature movement architecture. This example features a slate grey dial with luminous hands, a small seconds register at 9 o’clock, and a power reserve (“up/down”) indicator at 3 o’clock. The dial is clean, legible, and understated—perfectly aligned with Dornblüth’s philosophy of functional elegance.
Inside is Dornblüth’s in-house modified movement, built and finished by hand in Kalbe, Germany, with 3/4 plate construction, gold chatons, blued screws, and hand-engraving. The 42mm stainless steel case offers a substantial wrist presence without sacrificing comfort.
Condition: Excellent condition with light wear. Dial, hands, and crystal are pristine. Running well.
Includes: Box and accessories (no papers).
