The Watch: The Cartier Tortue Ref. 2496D is a distinguished timepiece from Cartier's esteemed Collection Privée Cartier Paris (CPCP) line, celebrated for its homage to classic designs and exceptional craftsmanship. Introduced in the early 2000s, this watch showcases Cartier's iconic tortoise-inspired "Tortue" case, crafted in 18k yellow gold, measuring approximately 34mm in width and 42mm in height, making it suitable for both men and women.
The silver guilloché dial features black Roman numerals and blued steel Breguet-style hands, epitomizing Cartier's signature aesthetic. Powered by the manual-winding Caliber 437 MC movement, visible through the sapphire crystal case back, the watch offers both precision and a glimpse into its finely finished mechanics. Completing the ensemble is a black alligator leather strap paired with an 18k yellow gold deployant clasp, ensuring both comfort and elegance.
This timepiece is a testament to Cartier's legacy in creating timeless and sophisticated watches that blend traditional design with modern craftsmanship.
Condition: Very good, pre-owned condition. Clasp fold was replaced with rose gold at some point in its life (see photos). Not visible during wear. There is a light mark on the crystal also highlighted in photos.
Includes: Watch only.
