The Watch: The IWC Ingenieur Automatic 35 IW324906 represents a return to the compact sizing that dominated luxury watchmaking's golden era. In 2023, IWC staged the return of a famous watch designed by Gérald Genta in 1976, the Ingenieur SL reference 1832 or Jumbo, as it came to be known because of its large 40mm case. This 2025 release takes that iconic design and reimagines it in a more compact 35mm package, making it one of the most wearable integrated bracelet sports watches available today.
The 35mm diameter stainless steel case measures just 9.4mm in thickness. The signature black grid dial features rhodium-plated indices and hands with Super-LumiNova, and a framed date window at 3 o'clock with background matching the dial color. Like the 40mm, this is a masterclass in industrial luxury.
Another improvement over the 40mm version: the visible Calibre 47110 and IWC engraved rotor on the caseback.
