The Watch: Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso has remained one of the most iconic rectangular watches in horology since its 1931 debut. The Duoface complication, introduced decades later, further elevated the design by offering two distinct dials within the same case.
This particular example is a rare Série Première Japan Edition, limited to just 300 pieces and released only for the Japanese market. The watch features a striking deep blue dial on the reverse face, with a silver-toned primary dial, each offering its own time display. The 42mm x 26mm stainless steel case preserves the classic proportions of the Reverso while housing the dual-time complication with understated elegance.
The manual-wind Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 854/1 powers the watch, providing twin time zones without unnecessary bulk. As with all JLC movements, finishing and reliability are superb.
Condition: Excellent overall condition. The caseback has been engraved by the previous owner, but otherwise the case, crystal, and dials are clean and well-preserved. Running smoothly.
