The Watch: The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Day-Date Moonphase Ref. 25594SA combines the timeless Gérald Genta-designed Royal Oak case with full calendar functionality in a versatile 36mm package.
The white dial is a rare variation for this reference. About 1791 25594SA's were made during the line's run (1984-2006), with the white dial becoming standard in 2001, long after peak production. Based on the numbers on AP's website, we estimate about 5% of examples made had this dial. Note the applied gold hour markers, a matching handset, day and date subdials at 9 and 3 o’clock, and a moonphase display at 6. The signature “Grande Tapisserie” pattern adds depth and texture, framed by the iconic octagonal bezel secured with white gold screws.
Inside beats the self-winding Caliber 2224/2825, renowned for its thinness and reliability. Once water-resistant to 50 meters and fitted to the original integrated Royal Oak bracelet in steel and gold, this is a highly wearable complication from one of the most collectible sports watch lines ever made.
Condition: Excellent overall condition with light wear to the case and bracelet consistent with age. The dial is clean, and the bracelet fits up to a 7" wrist.
