The Watch: The Cellini collection has always been the part of the Rolex catalog that most people forget exists. Reference 50519 is the Cellini Date from the modern Cellini family that ran from 2014 through 2019. The case is 18k white gold, 39mm in diameter, 12mm thick, with Rolex's distinctive double bezel design: a domed polished bezel surrounded by a fluted outer ring. The combination is a reference to vintage Rolex dress watches from the mid-20th century, and to Rolex's classic fluted motif. The screw-down winding crown carries the Rolex logo.
The silver guilloché dial features applied white gold baton hour markers and dauphine hands. A pointer date sub-dial sits at 3 o'clock, allowing the date to be read via a small hand rather than through an aperture. The guilloché pattern catches light differently across its facets, giving the dial visual depth that a flat finish wouldn't achieve. A fine printed minute and seconds track runs around the dial's circumference.
Inside is the caliber 3165, an automatic movement with 31 jewels, 28,800 vph, COSC chronometer certification, and a 48-hour power reserve. Bidirectional self-winding via a Perpetual rotor.
The 18k white gold tang buckle closes the leather strap. Water resistance is 50 meters.
