The Watch: The Datejust has anchored the Rolex catalog since 1945, when it became the first wristwatch to display the date in a window on the dial. The design has evolved incrementally over eight decades, but the essential formula remains: a round case, an automatic movement, and a date complication magnified by a Cyclops lens at 3 o'clock.
Reference 126300 presents the Datejust in 41mm steel with a smooth bezel. The Caliber 3235 inside represents Rolex's current-generation architecture, featuring the Chronergy escapement and a 70-hour power reserve that lets the watch run through a long weekend unworn. The silver sunburst dial catches light differently at every angle, with applied luminous indices and the date window integrating cleanly into the layout.
This 2019 example wears on a Jubilee bracelet, the five-link design that Rolex introduced alongside the original Datejust. Currently sized for a 7.75" wrist with two links removed.
Condition: Very good.
Includes: Papers. Jubilee bracelet sized for 7.75" wrist (minus 2 links).
