The Watch: Rolex introduced the first green-bezel Submariner in 2003 to mark the model's 50th anniversary. That reference, the 16610LV, picked up the nickname "Kermit" and became one of the more collectible modern Submariner variants. When Rolex redesigned the Submariner line in 2020, the green bezel returned on the 126610LV, now paired with a black dial instead of the anniversary model's green.
The current generation case measures 41mm, a millimeter larger than its predecessor, though the slimmed-down lugs and wider bracelet actually improve the proportions on most wrists. Inside, the Caliber 3235 extends the power reserve to 70 hours, enough to set the watch aside Friday night and pick it up Monday morning. The green Cerachrom bezel is virtually scratch-proof, with platinum-coated graduations.
This example comes watch only with 10 links on the bracelet. Collectors sometimes call this reference the "Starbucks" to distinguish it from the original Kermit.
