The Watch: This Vacheron Constantin reference 47040/B01A-9093 is from the second generation of Overseas, redesigned by Vincent Kaufmann in 2004. Striking for its repeated use of Vacheron’s Maltese Cross logo as a motif across the watch. The bracelet links connect at a junction that’s cut into the shape of the cross’s arm. The same arm design repeats around the bezel, as the triggers for the clasp, and on the clasp itself. The dials became patterned, the case expanded to 42mm, and the movement became the VC1126, based on JLC’s 889. It’s a substantial wear, thick and heavy, but it sits low and flat and hugs the wrist. As soon as the double-deployant clasp shuts, the integration goes from case to bracelet to wearer. This one comes with its full kit: box, all original tags and papers, plus a leather and a rubber strap. Apologies for the schmutz on the leather in the last pic.
Condition: Pre-owned but fantastically kept wear. Everything is clean with some minimal wear on the bracelet and clasp.
