The Watch: The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph Ref. 49145 represents the second generation of Vacheron’s luxury sports chronograph, produced from the mid-2000s. With its 37x40 stainless steel case, integrated bracelet, and signature Maltese cross bezel, it bridges refined finishing and everyday functionality.
This example features a striking slate grey dial with luminous hands and markers, three subdials for chronograph hours, minutes, and small seconds, and a big date aperture at 12 o’clock. The dial’s balance and restrained tone give it a distinctly elegant feel, especially when paired with the sharp case geometry that defines the Overseas line.
Inside is the Vacheron Constantin Caliber 1137, based on the Frederic Piguet 1185 and enhanced with a big date complication. It’s a column-wheel, vertical-clutch chronograph movement with smooth operation and excellent reliability, finished to haute horlogerie standards.
The integrated bracelet fits a wrist up to 7.5 inches.
Condition: Very good overall condition. Light marks on the case and bracelet consistent with gentle wear. Dial and crystal are clean. Runs well, with chronograph functions operating smoothly.
